Our work with Zebra Housing focused on building solid, long term visibility through a clear and consistent SEO strategy. The first stage was a detailed keyword research project, mapping their core offering to the most important search terms for international students. This included targeting searches such as “International Student Housing London”, “International Student Accommodation London”, “postgraduate accommodation London”, “student accommodation for couples” and branded building terms like “Jerome House”, all of which now rank within the top three positions.

With the keyword strategy in place, we carried out comprehensive on page optimisation across the site. This included refreshing page content, improving headings, strengthening internal linking and updating meta titles and descriptions to improve relevance and click through rates. We also added new content where needed to support long tail terms and provide clearer information for prospective students researching London accommodation.

Alongside the on page work, we implemented a series of technical improvements to enhance site performance and ensure everything was fully indexable. This included fixing outdated links, improving URL structures and making sure search engines could easily crawl and understand each location and property page.

To support authority building, we ran ongoing backlink campaigns, securing high quality links from relevant sites to strengthen Domain Authority and Domain Rating. Over the course of the project, DA increased from 15 to 32 and DR grew from 04 to 23, significantly improving the site’s ability to compete in the student accommodation sector.

Thanks to consistent optimisation, Zebra Housing now ranks on the first page for more than twenty important keywords, has generated over one million impressions in the last sixteen months and continues to attract strong organic visibility among international students searching for safe and affordable housing in London.
